Oversized cuts, statement graphics, and pieces that feel at home at events, gigs, and everyday city wear.
About
Yogyakarta streetwear rooted in hip-hop culture — oversized fits, bold graphics, and pieces built for the scene.
FakeLab started in Yogyakarta from a love of clothing design. Before the brand existed, founder Hendy Murti Sagita Pratama designed for friends and local clothing labels across Jogja and beyond.
After a few years working garments in Jakarta, he returned home in 2012 and built FakeLab — first as a screen-printing / production house, then as a full hip-hop clothing label once the drops kept selling.
The lane was clear from day one: hip-hop. Baggy silhouettes, loud color, urban attitude — the same energy that moved from the street into global fashion.
Oversized cuts, statement graphics, and pieces that feel at home at events, gigs, and everyday city wear.
Tees, jerseys, jackets, pants, bags, headwear, and merch — almost every layer of the look, under one label.
Design and production stay close to Yogyakarta’s clothing scene, including workspaces like PDIN that connect local makers.
Hendy designed for clothing friends and brands in Jogja, then moved to Jakarta to work deeper in garment production.
Back in Yogyakarta, FakeLab started as a print / production vendor and evolved into its own hip-hop clothing brand.
At its peak the brand reached dozens of cities through resellers — then faced heavy counterfeits on marketplaces around 2017.
FakeLab adapted by hitting clothing events (Jake Cloth, Kickfest and more), listening to what the scene wanted, and growing through official marketplace channels.
